Imagine you’re all set for a race, but suddenly your pedals stop working. Don’t worry—here’s a step-by-step guide to help you troubleshoot and fix common pedal issues. We use the Heusinkveld pedals as an example, but the process is similar for other pedal brands as well.

STEP 1: CHECK FOR INPUTS IN THE SOFTWARE

The first thing you should do is open your Heusinkveld software. Press the pedals and observe if there's any input detected by the software.

STEP 2: CHECK FOR CONNECTIONS

If there’s no input, ensure that the pedals are properly connected to your system via USB. Remember, pedals typically do not require external power; they draw power directly through the USB connection.

STEP 3: RECALIBRATE YOUR PEDALS

If your pedals are registering input but not functioning correctly, you may need to recalibrate them:

1. In the Heusinkveld software, locate the calibration option.
2. Follow the on-screen instructions to recalibrate your pedals. This process ensures that the software correctly interprets the pressure applied to each pedal.

This step is particularly useful if you’re experiencing incorrect or inconsistent pedal responses during your race.

STEP 3: ADJUST YOUR PEDAL SENSITIVITY

Once recalibrated, you can also adjust the pressure settings for your pedals:
